I learned hand-sewing techniques for leather products at a hand-sewn bag store in Tokyo. Fascinated by the high quality of leather products made by hand without using a sewing machine, he established "Jazz" to manufacture and sell leather products. Today, we offer custom-made products from ready-made to fully custom-made with uncompromising quality.
All of our products are tailored by "hand-sewn". Although hand-sewn tailoring is a very time-consuming production technique, it offers durability and powerful, beautiful seams that cannot be achieved by any other method.
It is also possible to sew at right angles, a feature that can be said to be the sole domain of hand sewing, which is not possible with a sewing machine. This technique is indispensable for creating three-dimensional shapes in leather products.
The cross section of tanned leather is finished by traditional kirime honpaku (polishing). By repeatedly shaving and polishing, and brushing wax into the leather, the cross section of the leather is given a beautiful luster like that of a single piece of leather.
